A Sukanya Samriddhi account is opened for a girl under 10. Deposits of ₹250 to ₹1,50,000 a financial year are made for 15 years, and the account matures 21 years after it is opened. For July–September 2026 it pays 8.2% a year, compounded yearly. Enter a yearly deposit and the year you open the account.

Sukanya Samriddhi rules
- The account can be opened for a girl child up to the age of 10, with a minimum deposit of ₹250 and up to ₹1,50,000 in a financial year.
- Deposits continue for 15 years from opening. The account matures 21 years after opening.
- Deposits qualify for the deduction formerly known as section 80C (section 123 of the Income-tax Act, 2025) under the old tax regime, and India Post lists the interest as tax-free.
