“Time to respect and honour our national anthem”.

On Wednesday Supreme Court orders “national anthem” should be played in all cinema halls before a film is screened and everyone must stand to pay respect to it. The Court also said,”people should know how to sing national anthem ,and must be taught”.
A bench led by Justices Dipak Misra and Amitava Roy states that, people must respect national anthem which is a part of constitutional patriotism .People must feel that it is their country .It is because of the country that they are enjoying “freedom and liberty”. The Centre and States have been given 10 days to implement the court’s order.
Further,The SC said that the national anthem must not be played on –
-Entertainment television shows as it should not be commercially exploited.
-The anthem must not be printed on an “undesirable place or on objects” either.
The order came in after a PIL filed by a retired engineer in Bhopal named Shyam Narayan Chouksey.
