They are gratified with a GOLDEN TICKET to the West Zonal crowning ceremony in Pune

on 23 rd May, 2017

Auditions at fbb/Big Bazaar Stores saw large crowd cheering the contestants.

Mumbai, 13 th May, 2017: India’s most exciting, glamorous and credible beauty pageant is

underway and continues its talent hunt in Mumbai. The auditions took place at fbb / Big Bazaar at

Infinity Mall, Malad.

The auditions received an overwhelming response witnessing more than 100 contestants

participating from all parts of the state. The encouraging response assured a wide coverage of the

state, in terms of ‘talent scouting’. These auditions at the fbb / Big Bazaar stores were cheered

and supported by fbb customers and the general public.

The judges for the auditions were:-

Rohit Khandewal: is an Indian model, actor, television personality, winner of Mr.India 2015, and

the first ever Asian to be crowned Mister World 2016.

Sushrii Shreya Mishraa: is an Indian model and beauty queen from Odisha. She

represented India at the Miss United Continent 2015 pageant. She is also a certified scuba diver

and aerial silk rope dancer

With a new and improvised format this year, Miss India in its 54 th edition will be touring to all 30

states of the nation and to crown 30 state representatives who will then compete for the coveted

Miss India crown. The shortlisted girls from Pune also came for auditions to Mumbai. The top 3 of

Maharashtra have been given a golden ticket to the West zonal crowning ceremony to be held at

Hyatt Regency Pune on 23rd May, 2017. Here the most deserving candidate from each of the 4

states i.e. Miss India Rajasthan, Miss India Gujarat, Miss India Goa and Miss India Maharashtra will

represent their state at the grand finale which is going to be held in Mumbai in June.

For the very first time, the pageant will host mentors for each zone who will guide the contestants

to merit. To take charge of the proceeding for the West Zone we have none other Waluscha De

Souza

She enthusiastically quoted, “.”I have very high expectations from my girls in the west. This is

going to be an amazing journey for them and I would love them to take complete advantage of

this opportunity, work really hard and put in all that they have got. After all, true satisfaction lies

in knowing you did all and more to better yourself. You are your only competition.”
