Free Education to the Underprivileged

Education – the lighter the words seems to be, the deeper the meaning it has. Someone has rightly said – “Education is the key to unlock the golden doors of Freedom”. Education is a two – way learning process. It is a process of imparting or acquiring a particular knowledge or skills as for a profession. But how many of us do really think that apart from this, Education also leads up to the overall development of a child – Truly Rarest of us. Education is a matter of building bridges…. The bridges which will enlighten the progress of our own nation.
“Children are the future of our nation “and “the main hope of a nation lies in the proper education of its youth”. Keeping these thoughts in mind, many leaders led any programs in India like Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan, Beti Padhao Beti Bachao and Right to child Education … but still there are millions of children uneducated around the world particularly in India. In India poor children are not entitled to the right to Education and they are not provided with the quality education which leads to illiteracy and unemployment. This ultimately leads to the progress of our nation at stake.
Poverty and education are inextricably woven. For the underprivileged people in India, education is perceived as a high – priced luxury and this negative outlook continues with every new generation. Due to many other factors too, our India lacks 100% literacy rate. For educating a child, just what is required is a home and a right curriculum which will enable a child to get a quality education. But in this case what lacks is the initiative taken by the people to educate the underprivileged.
Education is a fundamental human right and essential for all to exercise it. Some initiatives which can be taken by us are – part time teaching to the underprivileged, donating some amount for the child fund , helping them by being a part of NGO and many more ways to educate the uneducated because “ Education is the only most powerful weapon which can be used to change the world “. So don’t wait for the perfect moment, take the moment and make it perfect – use your resources, use your skills to make our India a brighter India to live in.
